Proxy SwitchyOmega V3 ("SwitchyAlpha") is a browser extension that allows users to manage and switch between multiple proxy server configurations. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how the extension handles your data.
SwitchyAlpha does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. All user-configured settings, proxy profiles, and switching rules are stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in extension storage APIs. No data is sent to external servers operated by us or any third party.
The following data is stored locally on your device to provide the extension's functionality:
Proxy profiles: Server addresses, ports, and protocols you configure.
Switching rules: Domain patterns and conditions you define for automatic proxy switching.
Proxy credentials: If you configure proxy authentication, credentials are stored locally and only sent to your configured proxy server when authentication is required.
Extension preferences: Your UI settings and preferences.
The extension requests browser permissions solely to fulfill its core purpose of proxy management. These permissions are used to apply proxy settings, evaluate URLs against switching rules, and provide proxy authentication. No browsing history, page content, or personal information is collected through these permissions.
SwitchyAlpha does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. If you configure the extension to use a remote PAC script URL or rule list URL, the extension will fetch data from that URL as directed by you. These are user-specified resources and are not controlled by us.
We do not sell, transfer, or share any user data with third parties for any purpose, including advertising, analytics, or creditworthiness assessment.
If this privacy policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL with an updated date.
If you have questions about this privacy policy, you can reach us by opening an issue on the project's repository or by email at the address listed on the Chrome Web Store listing.
